Leather Pants

Hi guys today I want to give a brief history on Leather Pants and how they started to emerge over the years. I find leather pants to be one of the best bottoms to piece certain things with. I just feel you can style them with whatever top or jacket you are feeling and it going to look very good. That is why today I want to give some type of information on these pants that we tend to wear. I hope you all like it!

Leather pants can honestly go as far back to the Native Americans. When it came to fashion back then it was going from tribe to tribe, and truthfully almost all tribes used animal skin that they did hunt for to make soft leather to have some clothing. When it came to leather it was a spiritual endeavor that they had going on. It was also a thing that if you underpin leather clothes there is a belief that you wearing the animals skin could make you feel powerful with the strength of the animal. In the late 19th century the leather trousers were adopted once the Europeans arrived. Even in the 1940’s leather pants made their way in Hollywood and women were also seen wearing leather pants as well. Stars like Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent, Marlon Brando, and James Dean leather pants were something that they could pull off pretty well. Leather trousers was the ultimate symbol of adolescent rebellion. You will definitely see different stars in leather pants even iconic singers such as Jim Morrison. When it came to Jim Morrison he was able to pull these leather pants off that not much people can actually do.

We had women who also pulled off a good leather pants look such as Joan Collins who even paired them with some nice leather gloves. When it came to the 1980s when civil rest started to intensify punk fashion became something huge and leather was becoming more mainstream due to New Romanticism. When the 90s came around there was leather trousers that made their way into mainstream. As we know 90s fashion had some iconic looks so I know the way leather pants were styled back then was a hit and people had fun with these outfits as well so, remember to have fun when styling! Even as we hit today leather pants are still a big hit and still having great ways of styling going on with them I believe these pants will keep being in style no matter what.
